I am an American citizen traveling to Italy for a year of study at the university level on a student visa. While there, I want to be able to travel to some other countries in Europe. I am unclear, even after all the research I’ve done, if I can do that. Can someone clear this up for me?

Hey! Does anyone know of any upcoming or names of cruise ship shows on the travel channel?? I watched one about Samantha Brown going on a cruise and I love watching shows about cruises. Know any??? I looked on the TIVO guide but its hard to look up shows if you don’t know what the name is! Thanks!

I’m planning on going on an Eastern Mediterranean cruise; and one of my traveling companions is a Japanese citizen (US PR). The cruise makes port calls to the following countries Italy, Greece, Turkey, and Egypt. I’ve heard conflicting information about the need for getting a visa in Egypt in advance. I’m told that I don’t need a visa (I’m a US citizen); but my Japanese companion does need a visa. Someone else told me that we don’t need a visa for the Japanese national. does anyone out there know the answer? my cruise ship company is surprising unhelpful.
