I have a friend that is traveling to Ireland next month and she is leaving out of New York on the Queen Mary 2 and then is taking trains and a ferry to reach her final destination. Has anyone ever traveled via ship as opposed to plane across the Atlantic? Based on what she told me the tickets on the ship are not as expensive as one would think. Thoughts, advice????

I will be 8 months pregnant in March 2008. At the time we are supposed to be in Florida for a holiday we booked months ago. Flying down there is obviously out of the question. What are your thoughts on driving to Florida? Is it even a good idea to be going outside of the country so close to my due date? (We live in Manitoba-long drive!) What happens if I did go into labour while in the USA? Would my travel insurance cover all the expenses? Maybe this is a bad idea and we should just cancel our vacation….any advice or words of wisdom would be grfeatly appreciated! Thx in advance
