My DUI case has been going on for last 8 month and the next court date is 14th May 2007. My immigration status is “green card holder / legal permanent resident”. I need to travel out of USA. Can I leave the country and come back before the court date? What should I do if I want to travel out of country? I have been waiting for the case to be resolved and move on with my life but all that happens is I get next court hearing for the last 8 months.
I am not on any bond or bail at all.My background is clear with law except this DUI case. They did not put me in jail when this happened. They let me go home as soon as someone came to pick me up from police station in 30 minutes. It was a simple DUI without any accident or anything like that. Thanks.
